Dominic Cooper's 2011 continues to impress. Following some great work in Marvel's Captain America and a fantastic performance(s) in the Devil's Double, it looks like Cooper has landed the lead in Albert Hughe's Motor City. It had been reported that Captain America himself, Chris Evans, was due to take the lead in the action thriller, but now it looks as though Tony Stark's dad is set to fill the role.
Motor City follows the story of a recently released convict out for revenge against the man who framed him. So far, so formulaic you say, but Motor City's twist is that it contains no dialogue. It's certainly an interesting approach to a well worn story, and an approach that will put the spotlight firmly on Cooper and director Hughes. Hughes last movie was the Book Of Eli with Denzel Washington, and his first time behind the camera since the live-action Akira remake was cancelled.
